PETS ON 5TH - Because your pets deserve the best advice

About Us

Hi! We are Dr. Timi and Pily. We met 4 years ago while working at an upper west side veterinary hospital in New York City. We bonded over our mutual respect and love for animals and their well-being. Our purpose for creating Pets On 5th is to provide you with the best pet advice, suggestions for maintaining a healthy pet, and other information that pet owners can find helpful on like products and services. Pets on 5th is the venue for communicating with fellow pet owners, comparing pet products, and watching weekly videos of continuing veterinary updates.

Dr. Timi, DVM

Dr. Timi grew up in Delaware and always dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. After college, she attended  Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Timi moved to New York City and practiced veterinary medicine at the veterinary hospital on the upper west side.  She has since moved to a practice downtown to better serve the city's pets. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, New York State Veterinary Medical Society, and the Veterinary Medical Association of New York City.

Pily, VT

Pily, born and raised in Colombia, earned her first degree in graphic design. Twelve years ago, she moved to the States and earned a business administration degree from the University of Miami. Because Pily's love for animals was never far from her heart, she decided to go back to school – again – to become a licensed veterinary technician. She is studying at Purdue University and has interned with Dr. Timi. Her background and extensive experience in graphic design, publishing and, of course, animal care, inspired her to launch this website with Dr. Timi.

About Our Pets

Dr. Timi rescued her two cats, Matti and Brinley, from St. Kitts in the British West Indies. Pily rescued Mother Theresa, ‑ or "Mama T" as we call her ‑ a polydactyl cat, three years ago from the hospital where she used to work;soon Mama will have a brother or sister doggie. Matti, Brinley, and Mama T will be contributing editors and will be featured in our video demonstrations.

We Care

We want to be a part of something bigger than ourselves and we donate a portion of our profits to pet shelters selected and voted by you at the end of the year, the Pets on 5th pet lovers'community. We do this in 2 ways:

- We will donate a portion of all proceeds from our Amazon.com store (if you need to buy something from amazon for your furry friends, might as well buy it through us!)
- We will donate a portion of net profits from our advertising and PPC revenues

That means that every time you visit Pets on 5th, you're  helping our beloved animals in need.

Thanks for your support!
